Best Large Traditional Tattoo at the Sydney Tattoo Convention 2024

I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off my website news than this. As some of you already knew, I attended the Sydney Tattoo Convention 2024 on August 10th, and I’m thrilled to share that I walked away with the award for Best Large Traditional Tattoo! 🎉

The winning piece was done on the upper leg of a dear client, Pip. Tattooing a traditional battle royale design on him was a real pleasure. There’s something deeply satisfying about working on large, traditional designs. I completed this piece a few days ago, at Thirteen Feet Tattoo, where I am a resident artist for over two years now. During the convention, Pip also got another tattoo – a heron on his chest. Check out the photos.

This award holds a special place in my heart, as it’s my first win at a convention in Australia and comes a year after I was granted my global talent visa by the Australian government. To top it all off, the award was given at an event featuring some of the best tattoo shops in the city. The support and love I received from clients and fellow artists after the win meant a lot to me. I’m excited to take on more amazing projects and give my clients the chance to show off their award-winning tattoos. After all, it’s all about the fun and pride beyond the pain, right?
