🎬 The documentary “Cover-up”, featuring my work on scar cover-up, is now available on DocPlay

Some of my clients and close friends already knew that, throughout 2025, I had the opportunity to take part in the production of a documentary about self-harm scar cover-up.

The film was created by the incredibly talented Catherine Young and Oliver Moir. Catherine first came across my work, became interested in my story, and decided to build this documentary around a very special moment in my practice.

That moment wouldn't have been possible without Caitlin, who generously agreed to share her own story and allow her scar cover-up session to be documented. Cover-Up follows our meeting as we work together through that tattoo, capturing the process with honesty, care and respect.

Although I've been tattooing for more than 20 years, being part of a documentary was a completely new experience for me. It was both exciting and challenging, but Catherine, Oliver and the entire crew made me feel comfortable from day one. Here are a few behind-the-scenes moments from the filming:

I'm grateful to have been part of a project that approaches such an important mental health topic with honesty, empathy and respect. My sincere thanks to Catherine, Oliver, Caitlin and the team for trusting me with this experience and AFTRS and everyone at Thirteen Feet Tattoo (Katie and Todd Bailey, as well as my colleagues) for their incredible support throughout the making of this project. 🤍

I'm incredibly proud of what the team created. Cover-Up was selected for the 2026 Revelation Perth International Film Festival and is now available to watch on DocPlay.
